Core Principles of Immunization for Children

Initiate Prevention as Early as Possible: Wound treatment and the first dose of vaccination must be completed within 24 hours after exposure in children.

Precisely Select the Vaccination Site: For infants aged ≤2 years, intramuscular injection in the anterolateral thigh is preferred; for children aged ≥3 years, the deltoid muscle of the upper arm can be used. Gluteal injection is strictly prohibited.

No Dose Reduction: The vaccination dose for children is the same as that for adults, and the full 5-dose vaccination schedule must be completed.
